Yellow-Amber Ribbed Refrigerator Storage Container by Federal Glass

In the 1930s, wonderful Yellow-Amber depression glass containers were often given as a gift to the buyer, when a refrigerator was purchased. They usually came as a set of 4 and all had matching lids. (The lid for this container is not included, as is missing) The purpose of encouraging the use of covered refrigerator containers, which were stackable, was to help maintain a neat, tidy, clean area without wasting space. This is a one-quart container missing the lid, but it is nicely weighted and in great condition with no cracks, or chips, and minimal scratches on the base of the container from regular use.

Measures 8.5" x 4.25" x 2.75" and 2.5" deep.
