Tokanabe Japanese Vase in a Lovely Art Deco Design - 9.25" tall

This Tokanabe vase was originally made in Japan, and has the Made in Japan stamp on the bottom of the vase. The vase has a wide bottom with a narrower top. It is finished in black with embossed designs. These designs are colored in red and bright blue and consist of spiral motifs resembling clouds or water. There are handles on either side with small facial features. The vase weighs about 2.5 lbs. This is one of those rare flower vases that could decorate a gentleman's living room or bedroom. It has strong masculine features, but would be lovely with a peony bouquet in a lady's room. The vase has a very nice vintage-looking finish. It would make a gorgeous stand alone display piece or combined with decorative branches or flowers.
