Sweet Clover Design, Hand Painted with Light Green Edged in Gold Serving Bowl/Dish

This bowl was first painted a very light green, then a random clover design was added to the central section, bordered by a green border with gold hand painted accents. There are no maker marks anywhere on the bowl. But, as is visible in picture 4, when the bowl is in bright light, the china is so fine that you can see the clover design in the bowl, through the side of the bowl. This fine china most likely originated in Japan, but left Japan as a blank and was painted in Germany about 1890 to 1910 as Clover and violets were popular on china in this time period. The blanks were imported with paper tags and later marked in Germany.

Measures 2.75 inches tall and 8.5 inches in diameter.
