Spongeware was very popular in the 1800s and was the bread and butter of many potters of the day. These five cups are lovely examples of this type of antique pottery. Simple in form with beige background and golden colored glaze sponged on, leaving a spontaneous pattern.
These would be perfect for Custard, ice cream, rice pudding or other special treats.
Measures: 2.25 inches tall, diameter of the top is 3.25 inches, diameter of the bottom is 2 inches.
