Parrot Wall Pocket With Large Flowers - Colorful Wall Pocket- Made in Japan - Suspends from ceiling or the Wall - Hang from Bracket or Chain

This is a beautiful 1940's pocket with a vibrant colored Parrot brings Carmen Miranda to mind. The pocket is two sided, featuring the parrot and 3 large pink and blue flowers on the front side, two more blue flowers on the back side. These pockets were often sold with 3 foot pottery chains to hang them from the ceiling, or they were hung off the wall on a bracket. I have, personally purchased lightweight plastic or metal chain, which is sold by the foot, at my local hardware store, then attached hooks on each end, to suspend my pockets. I have a friend who uses braided, bright colored ribbon to suspend hers. On a porch where air moves freely, they sway gently. Feels like being in the islands.

The pocket is approximately 8" wide and 5" tall when lying down. The photos will show that there are 2 tiny flakes of paint missing, which are small and hard to locate, unless looking carefully (a little clear nail polish will seal over them). Otherwise, they are in great condition and the colors vibrant.
