Lennon, Michigan Souvenir Ruby Red Stained Glass Tumbler

This beautiful Ruby Red Stained glass tumbler is from the 1890s, and is engraved with Lennon, Michigan. A little town in the central section of Michigan which had a population of 510 in the 2010 census. Most likely , it was a similar size when this souvenir was sold. at the turn of the century 18th century. Ruby Stained Glass was popular from the 1890's into the 1920's . It was very popular to feature and sell Ruby Glass souvenirs at train stations, resorts and local fairs. When the Great Depression hit the US, souvenir items lsot there place in the market, and party glassware production came to an end in most glass factories. Ruby Stained glass has a mixture of copper oxide painted onto it than heated to create finish with the vibrant red color. An engraver than etched the copy onto the glass.
