The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Coronation in May 1937 was a momentous occasion marked by countless souvenirs, including this elegant Coronation cup by Losol Ware of Burslem, England. This commemorative Coronation cup, crafted with the great pomp and ceremony, is decorated with the Royal Crest of King George VI and his Queen, Elizabeth, to celebrate a moment of great significance in British history. The intricately designed cup was a symbol of the nation's unity and loyalty to its new monarchs, and it served as a cherished memento of this grand coronation ceremony, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the United Kingdom. It stands as a testament to the craftsmanship of Burslem artisans and the enduring legacy of this remarkable royal event. There is an emblem for the London County Council, likely as a gift to the council themself. This cup was found in the attic of a cottage on Lake Michigan. The cottage was built in the 1890s.

It stands 4.25" tall, with a mouth diameter of 3.25" and a base diameter of 1.75". The base says "Losol Ware Keeling & Co LTD Burslem Made in England." There is a small mark on the cup as pictured.
