This Kerr Self Sealing Mason jar was made in the 1950s or 1960s, and was originally produced for canning fruit. There is a Rec. U.S. Pat. Off. label on the front. On the bottom, there is embossed a number 15 and 505, and the initials AHK. This type of jar is no longer in production, so it is a rare find. It has soft corners and two seams on either side. No cracks or chips. There are a couple air bubbles and a small spot of lime deposit, which can be easily removed with vinegar. There are red marks around the rim that supposedly came from the lid of the jar.
Measurements: Length - 3.5" Width - 3.5" Height - 6.5"
