Japanese Gnome Tea Set, complete 11 Pieces - Mid Century Modern - Handmade Pottery - Gnomes/Elves of the Forest - Adorable Vintage

This adorable tea set is vintage, made in Japan, from the mid 19th century. Each piece is stamped "Made in Japan" It includes four tiny teacups with wood grain carved details; a lovely tall teapot that is made to look like a tree trunk, with a cute little bumblebee as a handle on the lid, plus, the artisan designing the pot used a charming gnome, hanging off a branch for a handle! There is a sugar bowl that has 2 handles, sculpted to look like little branches. It's lid has a gnome lounging on it for a handle. Also, there is a creamer (covered pitcher) and another lidded jar with a recess in the rim, for a spoon, most likely for jelly or jam. The teapot holds about 3 cups of liquid. All pieces are in perfect original condition. A truly great find!
