Cobalt 1890s Reed & Carnrick Peptenzyme 9" Bottle, Jersey City, New Jersey - Vintage Glass Bottle

This cobalt 1890s Reed & Carnick Peptenzyme bottle is in great condition and is a beautiful example of the medicine bottles of the period. It was sold with a cork top wired on to be secure. The 1800s were a time of medicinal quackery but this particular stomach aid probably was fairly effective in certain cases, much like the pepcid over the counter medicines sold today.
