This cobalt 1890s Reed & Carnick Peptenzyme bottle is in great condition and is a beautiful example of the medicine bottles of the period. It was sold with a cork top wired on to be secure. The 1800s were a time of medicinal quackery, but this particular stomach aid was probably fairly effective in certain cases, much like the pepcid over the counter medicines sold today.
