Chinese Mud Bird, Falcon on Tree Stump Figurine

This beautifully hand-formed stamped "China" falcon is a charming little piece. The hollow interior with its finger marks as well as the shiny glaze finish, indicate how old this piece is. The falcon with its intricately feathered wings is perched sternly on a tree trunk. The trunk, too, is detailed with what appears to be little flowers. His expressive face is furrowed as he looks down over a blue beak. Originally used as decoration in Bonsai gardens and planters, he would make a wonderful addition to a terrarium, a special gift, or the next addition to your collection of Chinese mudmen.

-Stands 4" tall by 2" wide.
-Great condition with a very small chip at the tip of his beak, only noticeable from one side.
