Royal Winton was a manufacturer of English fine bone china tableware and earthenware. The brand is from Grimwades Limited. The company was founded by Leonard Lumsden Grimwade and Sidney Richard Grimwade. Both pieces are rimmed in indigo blue with gold filigree and have colored transfers depicting children at play. The transfer scene on the bowl is of two children fishing, the pitcher’s scene is of two children playing, and two geese are following them.
The pitcher and plate are in fine condition for a child's set, which is about 100 years old, there is a small chip and some "flea bites" on the edge of the plate, plus the set has some crazing, which is common to find on earthen wares of this age. (see photos). The set would make a beautiful shelf piece to enjoy for a collector of children's dinnerware.
Pitcher: 6.5" H x 5" W x 5.75" L with handle
Bowl: 8" diameter x .75" H
