This is a bread/ bread and butter plate, a wonderful specimen of Hocking Glass depression ware. From 1930 - 1934, the pattern 'Cameo' (also known as 'Ballerina' for the fingers within the etching on the rim of the glassware) was the company's first mold-etched dinnerware line and remains, 100 years later, one of the most sought-after Depression glass patterns. Hocking Glass used machine pressing production to make this pattern. This plate has no damage or wear, it is in near mint condition. It measures 6.25" across in diameter, with the base measuring 2.75".
