This is a lovely ceramic pitcher with pink daffodils and green leaves. The design is on both sides of the pitcher, and there is a large handle opposite to the pouring spout. The bottom Maker's Mark is stamped Avon Faience. Faience pieces trace back to ancient Egypt and have been found in the history of almost every country. The Mark and the color of the clay body, suggest this piece was made between 1905 and 1908. This pitcher is great condition. There are no cracks or chips. There are some tiny speckles of brown, which seem to be from production. This piece originated in Wheeling Potteries of Wheeling, West Virginia.
Measures 7.5" Tall
