This ewer shaped Pottery piece was made by the McCoy Pottery Company. A ewer pitcher usually serves a more decorative purpose, rather than functional. This piece has a lovely blended aqua blue/green and brown glaze with raised grapevines climbing up the sides, indicating a wine container. The handle is long and easy to hold and pour. There is an embossed McCoy Makers Mark on the bottom. This lovely piece could be used as a functional pitcher or to hold cut flowers. The piece is in great condition, with no chips or cracks. The glaze has a few small production flaws including tiny air bubbles, which is not uncommon in McCoy Pottery as it was very utilitarian ware when originally marketed. It is 8.75" tall and 4" diameter.
